BBC News: Elon Musk sparks crisis talks at UK's elite Royal Society

What's the point of the Royal Society if they don't stand for honesty, integrity and scientific truth?

And what achievements are Nobel prize-winner Prof Sir Andre Geim from Manchester University thinking of? Because Musk's PERSONAL scientific achievements appear to be zero. Zip. Zilch.

Longest of the shots!

My mum is 90 this year and she would really like a University scarf to replace the one she's lost.
She studied medicine at Uni. of Manchester in the 1950s. Seems she was a real trail blazer, one of only 2 women in the year. And they wouldn't confirm her place until they were happy they had enough players for their rugby team!

Anyone have or know of a
Victoria University of Manchester Medical Scool
scarf.

It would make her day.

A x
Please boost.

Replied in thread

@theregister I worked on a joint research project last year with #UniversityOfManchester in the UK to test the viability of threat actors using both GPT-3 and Eleuther GPT-J to assist attacks under a number of common scenarios using the Mitre Attack Framework. The results: non-viable attacks, repetitive gibberish, trivialities, or code that is quicker to write from scratch than fix the AI-generated code. Generally, attackers are not going to drop Metasploit etc. any time soon.

#introduction:
I am a Lecturer and #NewPI at the #UniversityOfManchester #UoM
I am interested in how cellular interactions with the tumour microenvironment control fundamental aspects of cancer cell behaviour, including regulation of gene expression.
In @thebyronlab, we combine #proteomics, #sequencing, #bioinformatics, functional #CellBiology, super-resolution #imaging and #cancer models, to discover new properties of cancer #CellAdhesion #networks.
