"To cap it all, Tony Blair had just published a report on climate policy that even his best friends might consider to have been “unhelpful”. Tony is a former politician who is unable to go gently into the dark night. Eighteen years after stepping down as prime minister, he still yearns for relevance."

That man and his institute are desperately trying for relevance and it's embarrassing.

The Guardian · Starmer and Blair poles apart, an open goal at PMQs. Did KemiKaze score?By John Crace

I cant wait for Kneecap to burn a picture of Margaret "Section 28" Thatcher during their Performance at Glastonbury.

As a minority Ive long passsd carying what Westminster and Oligarch Press has to say, Im their enemy as much as Kneecap are.

And they fucking hate me, despite never meeting me. I'm a queer man, I dont belong in their new world order

"There is a very good chance you are reading this in a part of the country without any local elections. And there is a good chance too, given what I hear from the political parties, that your heart might not be pulsating in ecstasy even if the community centre down the road is morphing into a polling station tomorrow."

BBC NewsChris Mason: Anger and indifference collide in unpredictable local electionsThe results of the ballots will mould the national political mood, our political editor writes.

Still seeing people criticising US lefties for not voting for Harris over Gaza. I regret their choice too but let me explain something...

There are some things that are so important to you that you can't vote for the lesser evil, because you see no difference between the choices on the issue. In that case you can't vote for the lesser evil. You just can't. You'd throw up.

I'm there right now with trans rights, for example. If I'm still in the country when the next GE happens, there's no fucking chance of me ever voting for Starmer, even to keep Farage out of number ten. I'd rather die than vote for him. And... things are bad for trans folk in the UK right now but they're nothing compared to what's been done to Gazans.

So save your ire and your "how could yous" for the politicians who funded, supported and supplied the weapons for a genocide and then expected the left - that section of society who tend to give a shit about people other than themselves - to vote for them anyway.
