The Economist: Trump embarrasses the Pentagon with a U-turn on Ukraine <https://www.economist.com/united-states/2025/07/08/trump-embarrasses-the-pentagon-with-a-u-turn-on-ukraine>: ‘His decision to resume arms shipments is a victory for common sense—while it lasts…. The #Pentagon had presented the halt in arms deliveries [to Ukraine] as a part of a review to ensure that America maintained its own stocks. “We can’t give weapons to everybody all around the world,” declared Sean Parnell, the Pentagon spokesman… This was mostly misleading…. Those being sent to #Ukraine now come from contractors’ production lines rather than from American forces…. Mr Parnell insists that the process to “evaluate military shipments across the globe remains in effect and is integral to our America First defence priorities”…. But that does not hide the humiliation of the Pentagon’s civilian leadership at having an important policy countermanded by the president…. Trump reportedly told Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, that he had not known about the halt in weapons deliveries…. #USPol #USPolitics

Recently removed probationary employees what reason does your termination letter state for your removal?
Hello, I was recently removed as a probationary employee in light of the recent Supreme Court decision and wanted some clarity if possible? My termination letter states that I was terminated due to poor performance during my trial period. I wanted to know if anyone else’s letter stated something similar? Anything you can share would be helpful. Thanks,

Democrats keep pretending Trump voters are moving right when the truth is much simpler: people are voting for whoever promises to blow up a rigged system. Same reason they voted Obama in '08, Bernie in '16, and Trump—twice now. It's not about specific policies. It's about wanting someone, anyone, to break through and deliver transformation. Democrats either can't see this or won't admit it because their entire mission is maintaining the status quo for the donors and consultants who run the party. They'd rather manage decline than acknowledge that voters want revolutionary change—because admitting that would mean admitting they're not the leaders for the job. —Corbin Trent, co-founder of ‘Justice Democrats’. #USPol #USPolitics #Democrats
#Trump: "Why are we giving publicity to Files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden Administration [...] They created the Epstein Files"
And there we go. Trump has just admitted that the Epstein files are full of his name and photos.

…thus demonstrating a major difference between red states and blue states:
When state or local #Democrats want something like new infrastructure, they vote for a tax or bond issue and pay for it themselves.
#Republicans either wait around for federal funds, or—as shown in that clip—expect the necessary infrastructure to just appear by magic if they self-righteously turn down the funds.
#Texas’ power grid has been failing for 10 years now.

"This year’s Advocacy Week was intentionally focused. We prioritized key bipartisan members of Congress involved in the federal budget process—at a time when essential ME/CFS and Long COVID programs and funding are on the chopping block. We trained new advocates, empowered seasoned leaders, and adjusted in real-time to fast-moving developments in D.C."
