A de facto "critical-minerals embargo" being imposed by #China on the #US was to be expected.
In fact, it is somewhat surprising that President #Xi did not implement it sooner, after the #US cut off high-end GPUs for #China, which are critical for the #AI race.

I have been thinking, "... buy on bad news..." The old adage holds still true and might be amended with, "...in particular, if you know when the markets are going to turn around!" It's not that it hasn't happened before, e. g.the 2020 congressional insider trading scandal:

A whopping 77%(!) of all imported potash (for fertilizers, etc.) comes from #Canada.

It has been done before and the results boosted the #GreatDepression, which was milder in very few nations, such as Japan.

I agree with both oft you: the best way to stop RhE #TrumpMuskDuumvirate to hurt all Americans but the #Technofeudalists is to cause them maximum economic pain.

Sanctions, as in the #Kremlin case, would only worsen the #TrumpeanTradeWars.

Most of the Western allies are to weak to stand up to the #OrangePeril by themselves, even the #EU.
