Before coming to us our daughter-in-law completed her very first #triathlon.
She did a respectable time and came in the top 10 in her age group.
It's more impressive because her sole ambition was to complete the event 'without dying'!
She is very competitive (like our son) so it suits her very well.

Fundraising!
I’m doing the Olympic distance triathlon at Long Beach in support of Children’s Hospital LA. It’s my first full tri at this distance —I did a relay last year, and the sprint distance before that. This year I’m also putting more energy behind fundraising efforts.
I’ll be sharing the donation link with training updates as I go. If you have a couple dollars to spare, the kids there would appreciate it.
There is a level of depression after this last attack. Thankfully (and I am thankful) it seems I've lost little 'power' on the right side but coordination seems to be less.
I can't get off a bike and run easily, foot drop and balance making that slightly comical. Sprint triathlons maybe more try than sprint.
But I can do a short bike ride and fall into a seat for coffee in the sun. So there's that
