#trans #burnout #poll, for those who are or have transitioned! When you began your #transition , were you burned out at your primary activity (work, school, caregiving to self or others, volunteering, whatever your “thing” was)?

#Introduction again, It’s been more than 2 years since I’ve used this account, and so much has changed: Mostly the whole world went to shit, and my #ChronicAnxiety has developed into #PanicDisorder these 2 things may be linked🙄😔

So, Hi I’m River a 38 year old #trans woman,
I started to #transition 4 years ago now.
I’ve been on (effective) HRT for 2 years now, before I wasted 14 months on an ineffective dose, in fact my estrogen levels were lower on HRT than before I started, the worst thing is I let my doctors get away with gaslighting me for over a year.

More urgent is that we find ourselves in a full on dystopia, fuck this is a weird situation, especially after I started my transition with so much optimism, but my second puberty has turned into as much of a nightmare as the first.
Plus now I’m going to spend the rest of my life at war with the government over my most basic fucking dignity😡🤬😭

I’ll start talking about my interests again as soon as I’m not housebound from being over medicated :ablobcatcry:

@Tooden SRS is not surgery? 😮🤷‍♀️🤯

I think we must be at cross-purposes here somehow. #SRS is the acronym for #SexReassignmentSurgery, though it has several [sometimes country-specific] similar names with associated acronyms [eg, #GAS #GenderAffirmationSurgery, #GRS #GenitalReconfigurationSurgery].

Around the period of my research into & then having of SRS in the early Oughties, there were some people using the entirely silly "definition" of #GRS as "Gender Reassignment Surgery" [silly & wrong coz the entire problem of #GenderDysphoria is that we need to fix our bodies to match our self-known gender identity, not the other way around. I truly hope that incorrect term has died out by now].

In any event, semantics aside, they all mean the same surgical procedure [in the overview, anyway, though there's variants of specific techniques].

I was/am so critical of the article coz "castration" is not simply misleading, but is specifically the sort of inflammatory pejorative used by despicable transphobes & transmisics in pursuit of their ignorant RWNJ christofascism.

For those who have had major #surgery in San Francisco (like bottom surgery), where did you do your recovery at? I am struggling hard to find a place that meets the criteria:

* No stairs, either elevator or ground-level entry.
* Preferably a walk-in shower.
* Kitchen and enough space for 3-4 people (I'll potentially have my kid and 1-2 caretakers at various times)
* Can book for 6+ weeks.
* Within 30ish minutes of the city.

RT's appreciated, as are SPECIFIC recommendations. I know to look at AirBnB's and extended stay hotels. I've been doing that. I'm looking for advice/recommendations for SPECIFIC places.
