#Obsidian 1.9 changes its front matter format for array values, so "tags: tag1, tag2, tag3" no longer works. If your vault is full of front matter in that format (aliases, note IDs etc.), then here's what you can do about it:

- Option 2 is for everyone (you're also good folk)
One thing I personally love about my app Browser Actions (https://actions.work/browser-actions?ref=mastodon-b6, it adds macOS Shortcuts support to Chrome, Brave, etc.):
Each of its Shortcuts action works with any supported browser. When I switch browsers, I don't need to rebuild my BA-powered workflows: I just adjust the target browser. And for workflows I want to run in more than one browser, I simply target the frontmost browser. Easy.
Did you know you can extract the current selection in your browser as clean #Markdown content, in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Vivaldi, Chromium, Brave Browser, and/or Safari?
Mark the selection with your mouse in any of the supported browsers, then run this Shortcuts combo (c/o my #macOS app Browser Actions) to copy the selection to your clipboard. It even supports tables and images! It's quite useful, actually.
Huge shoutout to @amerpie for his very, very positive review of my contextual #Shortcuts launcher #BarCuts. I'm positively blushing
Lou is a prolific app reviewer (macOS), think of any app, and chances are he gave it a spin and wrote about it. His blog is a good resource for finding new things, is what I'm saying

Are there recurring tasks that you have to do in your browser? Have you considered automating them with a single #Shortcuts workflow? Because that's exactly what my #macOS app Browser Actions makes possible.
Manage windows, control tabs, interact with websites, extract content. And then combine all that with all the other cool apps on your Mac that come with #ShortcutsApp support

(And if you need help w/ that, just follow the Forum link there!)
My man @leif penned a super-detailed review of my contextual #macOS #Shortcuts launcher, BarCuts – including the new #Raycast and #Alfred functionality! It's so thorough I might link it from the official docs…

Whoa! @leif hat ein super-umfassendes Review zu meinem kontext-basierten #macOS-Kurzbefehle-Launcher #BarCuts geschrieben! Das sollte ich vielleicht sogar von der Doku aus verlinken

Danke, Leif!

#Alfred workflow for #BarCuts 2025.2 created and waiting for release (by me)
Alfred's DIY process is much nicer than #Raycast's "wait for review", for sure. Especially since you can just push a new version to your server w/o having to go through another review by the Raycast people.
Also I had to learn that as a non-dev user, you can't easily sideload Raycast extensions? Gatekeeping much?
My first Raycast extension is waiting for review. Fingers crossed!

Apple aktualisiert iWork-Apps mit neuen Funktionen für iOS 18.4 und macOS 15.4

@johnvoorhees @appstories @viticci A really useful macOS CLI tool for emulating mouse and keyboard events that I use with #ShortcutsApp:
@johnvoorhees @viticci For the next edition, may I suggest @nholzschuch's a-Shell and a-Shell mini?
it allows running Python scripts as well as native binaries of ffmpeg and ImageMagick. and if you need a proper shell there's dash
The #ShortcutsApp in macOS can run shell scripts. In iOS #shortcuts we have a-Shell and a-Shell mini
And they're open source, free, have no tracking, and updated constantly
A #shortcut to pixelate specific areas of an image by painting over them using the Markup tool
https://routinehub.co/shortcut/21783/
A few image operations needed for this shortcut aren't available in the #ShortcutsApp but, fortunately, I've been able to implement them in JavaScript and embed them inside the shortcut, so there are no external dependencies
The shortcut includes several workarounds for Shortcuts and Safari bugs
Give me 55s of your time, and I'll explain my new app BarCuts to you!

#BarCuts is a #macOS menu bar app that displays #Shortcuts workflows. It allows you to "tag" workflows to an app. When that app is active and in front, BarCuts will show its tagged workflows in a menu. It's pretty nice!

Current personal challenge: "Build that new #macOS app and release the first beta within two weeks". Week 2 has just started, and I'm cautiously optimistic at this point. It's going pretty well, I've implemented 2/3 of the core functionality already.
Anyways, if you're into #Shortcuts, keep an ear on this here account, I'll likely need some testers soon
#macOS #Shortcuts is hiding a lot of available apps – unless the system language is English US
#Apple, get your shit together ASAP, please, this is ridiculous
After many, many, many hours of work and testing with the Automation Control beta testers, v2.0 of Automation Control for your Shortcuts is here. #shortcuts #shortcutsapp
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/automation-control/id6737158540
In the simplest terms, this app allows you to manage the on and off status of your Shortcuts Automations while also determining if they should run based on several different conditions. If you are on 1.0x, please backup your data prior to updating, just in case.
