#PennedPossibilities 644 — Does your MC’s current actions reflect their past experiences?
For May Ri, it's personal. Earth attacked her family and killed her people. She's an engineer. They should have known better.

My writer newsletter got sent out today. Because it's my birthday month...you can check it out here without even being a subscriber!
This month, I've included links to a couple of book giveaways.
Science Fiction Quarterly vol. 1, no. 9 (December 1942)
This somehow embodies a lot of deep, almost Freudian themes of science fiction, the human body merging with machinery/weapons, and not for nothing, an attractive body at that. This resonates for me with Japanese stuff like Evangelion.

#PennedPossibilities 644 — Does your MC’s current actions reflect their past experiences?
This is spoiler territory, so I'll have to be careful with my words. Someone from Alexios' past reemerges, which of course isn't news, but he has to be very, very careful not to allow the past to repeat itself. He ran last time, if only because he had no other choice, but he can't run this time. He has to take a stand and face Dr. Death. His current actions do reflect the past (and that includes his experiences), up to a certain point, but it's also time to change. Change in action is good. It's growth. Trick will help him along the way. Love is a great motivator.
Love speculative fiction? Sci-fi? Horror? The paranormal? Thrillers of all sorts? Have I got some books for you!

while i feel it puts an overemphasis on the negative and is misleading, this video essay on Wells' politics is still thought provoking. #HGWells #Politics #Socialism #ScienceFiction
