The new St. Louis Board of Police Commissioners looks hella corrupt. All but one is white, in a city that's half black. Most are wealthy business owners. One owns a car dealership that does bulk deals with local police. One is a co-owner of a private policing company. Absolute sham of an "oversight" board.

I sound like a hipster, but I first got into #MLS 25+ years ago with The Wiz, attending most of their games, and yes, cheering from The Cauldron.

I lost that team in a divorce. 🤣

I didn't get back into soccer until AppleTV got the broadcast contract in 2023. Since I couldn't cheer my most local team, I picked a new team, St. Louis.

Wow, that first year!

I'm still an ardent supporter. It's the one escapist luxury I allow myself every year. Someday I hope I'll get to go see a game in #STL.

St. Louis recently ended their alley recycling and until I find a bike solution to carry everything I have to decide between driving my recycling to a center or throwing it away. I think driving is better but still bummed that it feels like such a backslide.

"St. Louis, St. Louis County and St. Charles all got F grades for ozone pollution in the American Lung Association’s most recent annual report."

"To improve ozone levels in St. Louis, people will need to reduce emissions from cars, promote public transportation and put controls on industry and power plants"

Truehold, an out-of-state investor, has quickly become one of the largest owners of single-family homes in St. Louis.

It promotes a unique "sell and stay" purchase model that has faced strong scrutiny when used by other companies.

Local real estate agents and lawyers worry that this model preys on desperate, cash-crunched homeowners.
