Despite making up only 10% of the country’s population, the #Alawites exerted outsized influence during the #Assad family’s >50-yr rule. The Alawites, who practice an offshoot of #Shiite Islam, dominated the #RulingClass & upper ranks of the #military under Assad.

The new govt called on all members of Assad’s forces to relinquish their ties to the fmr govt & surrender their weapons at “reconciliation centers.” While thousands have taken part in that process, some…have not.

The actions of the #usa of late have again proven that rule of law is applicable only when they want to use it against the #workingclass. There was a felony conviction for #trump but he never had a punishment. If the law doesn't matter then why do people follow it.

I think it's time for the people to take matters in their own hands. #Luigi is one example. There's others out there. Mass strikes, mass organization. #eattherich workers outnumber the #rulingclass

My opinion on #capitalism based on historical and current events.

Capitalism brings out the worst in humanity unlike #socialism that intends to provide everyone with basic human rights and stability.

A capitalist structure is incentive for the #rulingclass to be predatory to hoard more power and wealth at the expense of the #workingclass. This is the only way people become billionaires while there are so many in need.

This is why as socialist we ask for #solidarity in abolishing billionaires.
