"I chose a number of my favorite #Jewish #cookbooks to highlight, and asked other #GoodHousekeeping editors to share their go-tos as well. As a result, the fourteen titles ahead include delicious and festive #meal ideas for Jewish #holidays like #RoshHashanah, #Passover, #Hanukkah and #Purim, the best Jewish #baking #recipes for #challah, #babka, #bagels and beyond, a plethora of #Shabbat dinner ideas, and everyday dishes for #breakfast, #lunch and #dinner."

Good Housekeeping · To Make the Best Jewish Food, Our Editors Say You Need These CookbooksBy Jamie Kravitz

I received the most heartwarming message!

This is exactly why I teach Hebrew and share my culture: to help others connect with Jewish traditions, express themselves in this beautiful language, and be a part of something meaningful.

Messages like this fill me with pride and inspire me to keep teaching. Thank you for sharing and for being part of this journey with me!

Happy Rosh Hashanah 💙🤍

Oh Hen Mazzig has a nice summary on our indigenous land, how we were exiled and chased around the globe, although he missed a few like the 1920s Jewish massacre in Hebron in the land of Israel that pre-dates the establishment of the modern state.

Sorry, posers, there is a reason the indigenous peoples of the land you live on stand with us - ever notice that?

A #RoshHashanah custom is eating apple slices dipped in honey. The sweet nourishment of apples & honey signifies healing and optimism. The hope that the new year will be sweet.

Happy Rosh Hashanah!

This season, let's embrace the power of reflection and look ahead with excitement.

Learning a new language, like Hebrew, is more than just mastering words—it's an invitation to discover a rich culture, connect with a vibrant history, and unlock new ways of thinking.

As we prepare for this next chapter, let's commit to the challenge of learning and growing together. Every word we learn brings us closer to something greater. 🌿

The UFW wishes our Jewish friends a sweet #RoshHashanah. The first institutional religious support for grape strikers came when boards of rabbis in big Eastern cities declared boycotted products non-Kosher. More @ ufw.org/roshhashanah
