psych-DS is a community project (originating at the SIPS @improvingpsych conference) that aims to standardize #dataset formats and #metadata for psychological science.

They have reached a big milestone: the initial release of the Psych-DS structure has been fully implemented as a validator (essentially a "spellcheck" that determines if a dataset matches the standard)

The goal of the projects is to solve key challenges in the Social Sciences & Humanities. The steps are in elipses and in the following order: Submit your idea to us, we share all ideas publicly, you pitch our idea during online matchmaking, you refine your idea (choosing to discontinue is fine), and finally a committee selects whether your idea moves forward. If not, you can submit next time. If yes, you write a full propsal and can submit it to the NWO. We would like to congratulate the Rat für Informationsinfrastrukturen (#RfII) on its 10th anniversary! 🎉 🎂 Yesterday, this special birthday was celebrated in Berlin.

ℹ️ The history of #NFDI began with the RfII: In 2016, the Council formulated the need for a coordinated research data infrastructure for Germany. The recommendation paper ‘Performance from Diversity’ ("Leistung aus Vielfalt") can be regarded as the conceptual birth of NFDI.
