Nach 1 Stunde musste ich mich leider von der Kundgebung verabschieden: ich konnte nicht mehr stehen.
Der #Pferdemarkt war knallevoll und es kamen immer noch mehr Menschen.

#Freispruch hat er so gut wie in der Tasche. (Vllt. mit paar Auflagen.)
Da es im Fall #Lorenz bisher keine #Videos o.ä. gibt, ist es schwer die Situation zu bewerten.
Aber in ähnlich gelagerten Situationen der Vergangenheit, die besser dokumentiert sind, würde ich nicht von "Augenblicksversagen" sprechen, sondern von hoch konzentrierten #Beamt_innen.

While working on the fatbike I finally got around to adding reflective tape to my 'new' POC helmet. It was a black and white pattern which made me think it was designed for invisibility. Not my fave way to be on roads! Now it glows like a beacon :-)

I know a lot of people in the #transgender / #lgbtqia community are legitimately horrified at this news, but I think we need to be clear...
The people who are most immediately at risk here are #black, #latino ... #poc. Why? Because they are already in the prison system, and can most politically expediently be offshored to El Salvadoran slave camps, as a way of saving money. Nevermind people's family members will be cut off from them, and a much higher % won't survive.
We need #unity NOW!!!

#Chicago has a significant population of #BlackPeople and other #POC. I took hundreds of pictures, some of which are in this thread

"Chinese and Indigenous communities have shared histories. We faced hardships together while mining for gold in the British Columbia gold rush and experiencing the rugged Canadian weather and terrain.
There are many graves on First Nations territories when Chinese people died from the flu and from the building of the railway, crushed by landslides, collapsing tunnels and premature blastings (Mittelstedt, 2014). The First Nations communities took in the Chinese railroad workers and care for their grave sites to this day (Mittelstedt, 2014). We enjoyed economic success and partnerships that were respectful and mutually beneficial (Ma, 2012). Chinese people leased lands (on First Nations) to farm and then hired Indigenous people to help farm the land (Mathur et al., 2011, p. 74). The Chinese built elaborate gold-mining operations among First Nations communities and perhaps most importantly our communities intermingled and there were many marriages between Chinese men and Indigenous women. In 1891, 98% of Chinese people in Canada lived in British Columbia (Barman, 2013, p. 1), which explains why there are such intimate ties between Chinese people and our First Nations communities in British Columbia. Unsurprisingly, one in six Chinese men created a family with a local Indigenous woman (Barman, 2013, p. 1)."

Was #listening to #PBSNewsHour from last night and I was turned on to #Death, an African-American #PunkRock band, but considered #ProtoPunk because they were ahead of their time compared to other #punk bands according to the Newshour.
Put this album on just now and my mind is blown at how good this is! Not surprising that #PoC musicians are amazing, but this blew away my already high expectations! You have to give this a listen if you haven't!
