Cazimodo CreativeGood morning everyone 🌅 I am up early with the parrots again and have just put Ziggy in for her breakfast after a session where she was refusing to take her medication in the baby food again. I think she just has mornings when she fancies a change - as do we all - so I think I might alternate between different flavours of baby food and mash. Today I managed to mix some mash into the baby food and that did the trick. Jadie, meanwhile, has been ignoring the bit of strawberry I put on her flat perch each morning, except for today when I dropped it on the floor by mistake first. Apparently floor- dropped strawberry tastes better 🤷🏻‍♀️I was too ambitious going for a walk to the post office yesterday after my train adventures the day before and have used up my spoons reserve, so will be taking it very easy today. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning you lovely lot 💕 I am back home and up early with the parrots and have had a lovely long cuddle with Ziggy, who has stopped biting me, so it looks like I have been forgiven for going away and leaving her 😊 Yesterday you could tell she was excited to see me, but she had to make her displeasure known by running down my arm, biting my hand, and running up to my shoulder again. She did this a few times to really make her feelings known! All good now though - we're pals again.I'm so happy to see that our bats are back! Last year there were not many and we were getting worried when they didn't show up in April this year, but they have arrived in their numbers again now, which makes me very happy ☺️ Soon there will be baby bats too 🦇Off to post two crochet toy orders this morning and then maybe some gaming. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning from the sunny Highlands of Scotland where I have woken up surrounded by three dogs, including Milkshake, who loves me and always goes crazy when I arrive. I phoned Grant last night and he and the parrots were getting on fine. He even managed to get Ziggy to go into roost without a fight, which was surprising. He couldn't get either Jadie or Toby out though, which is why I can only go away for a couple of days at a time. I'm sure they'll forgive me... eventually 😊The Train gods were very kind yesterday and I had a pleasant, uneventful trip complete with complimentary coffee and shortbread. I noticed how very dry the glens were though. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning everyone 🌞 I'm up with the parrots and have just managed to persuade Ziggy to go in for her breakfast after she apparently saw ghosts again. She was taking her medication and then suddenly stopped, started making little growls and climbed up on to my head (her safe place) and began saying "It's okay" over and over again. Then she climbed down to the end of the arm of the couch and stared intently at the floor, growling to herself all the while. I checked it out, but couldn't see what has made her so spooked. After about a minute or two she suddenly brightened again and that was that. Ghosts gone apparently 😊I'm heading up to the Highlands today by early train so I'm having a quick coffee and then I need to get ready to head out. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning Fellow Travellers on the Galactic Spiral Arm 🌌 This morning started with a bang - literally - as I knocked down a photo of my grandsons from the wall when trying to take off Jadie's cover 😱 This caused huge upset to the Crew, who have finally settled down to breakfast, but not without a lot of coaxing and much grumbling. Jadie still keeps going up to her high perch to eye the offending photo out and growl at it 🙂Today will be mostly prepping parrot stuff for Grant so he can take care of the parrots when I am away. I'll need to make fresh chop and make sure there is enough quinoa and broth mix in the freezer for Toby, and baby food cubes for Ziggy. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning everyone 🔆 A long lie for me today, but somewhat disturbed by Ziggy screeching when I got up to go to the loo and forgot to Upstairs Ninja. The screeching lasted for quite a while, by which time both Grant and I were wide awake. She's being very Mummy-needy at the moment, which is a shame as I need to go see my old Fogies this week and will be away for three days. Hopefully she will forgive me ☺️I played BG3 all day and into the evening last night and had a whale of a time finding stuff in Act I I totally missed the first time and winning battles with a lot more satisfaction. I'm still not finished Act I and it just amazes me how much depth the game has to it. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning you lovely lot 💕 The parrots are all munching happily as I sit down with my first coffee of the day. Jadie is happy with me this morning as she was given a defrosted frozen cherry on her perch this morning. She is mad for cherries, but unfortunately they must be out of season at the moment as they aren't available in the shops, so frozen has to do. The fruit turns into a gloopy mess when it defrosts, but that doesn't bother Jadie at all 😊 At some point we always see their preferred fruits disappear from the shops for a while - it will be Toby's pomegranates soon no doubt - and it brings home how much of it comes from other places. Maybe I should invest in a greenhouse 🙂It's a bank holiday today so I think I will celebrate by playing some more BG3.
