Once again regular people are getting screwed because huge corporate banks are doing a half-assed job (or none at all) to verify if the people opening bank accounts are real or not.

There are “no real standards as to what a bank has to do for detecting fraud or money laundering”

If there was any sort of serious, enforced regulation this wouldn’t happen. Consumers get hurt, corporations face no consequences.

That homelessness is a policy choice.

That the economy isn’t complex; it’s controlled and manipulated.

That you can’t afford a home, because the rich are hoarding them.

That hunger persists because capitalism doesn’t see feeding people as valuable.

That supermarkets exploit us, because food is a business, not a right.

That ecological collapse continues because stopping it threatens someone’s bottom line.

That billionaires exist because exploitation is legal and encouraged.

That we don’t live in democracies - we live under oligarchies dressed up as freedom.

That the system gaslights you, every time it blames you for the struggle it created.

That you can’t self-improve your way out of structural oppression.

AND THE BIGGEST LIE???

That nothing can change.

The truth...

Redistribute wealth.
Reclaim power.
Resource the people, not the elite.

It isn’t complicated.

Cost of living climbs, but wages stay the same. The choice between groceries or school clothes gets harder. Are you riding the sickness out because you can't afford to see a doctor with rent coming up? These aren't choices anyone should have to make. You DESERVE a living wage. You DESERVE healthcare. You DESERVE housing. Your boss isn't "broke", you're being robbed. We're here to stop the robbery.

Community Change
Finance should be a tool that serves the people, not the other way around.

A community-owned economy is not structured too differently from a capitalist economy, in terms of functions, however the key difference lies at the heart of it.

Core enabling functions work to enable the needs of the central driving force. In capitalism, finance has become its own entity, with its own wants and needs. People merely serve as a function to enable the needs of finance.

In the community-owned economy, it is the wants and needs of the people that are addressed, with finance serving as a tool to enable them. Importantly it means that even if we have no finance, we have a direction, and other tools to enable our solutions. This makes a community-owned economy abnormally resilient to the weapons of the capitalist system, and the perfect vehicle to drive positive change 💚
