Je crois que je vais bientôt recommencer à regarder ou à lire Outlander...
Ils me manquent trop...

And the second endpaper for LitJoy's special edition of Outlander! My (then very pregnant) cousin and her husband posed for this one :)
I'm happy with the result, the dark, indoor setting allowed me to use a lot of lost edges and suggested shapes... like those plants and bouquets, which are essentially clumps of abstract brushstrokes.
I'll add more close-ups in the comments!

Here's the first endpaper I've painted for a special edition by LitJoy of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander! The book is going to be full of beautiful art, with Annie Stegg and @kristinagehrmann, among others, also contributing.

Painting this iconic scene of the novel was great! It was a bit challenging, since all those characters are standing so far apart from one another, but all in all I'm happy with the sense of motion I managed to create. Close-ups in the comments!

#Outlander is playing in the lounge room
the character Laoghaire is bitter, and calls someone names
and i am transported back in time

picture it… sicily 1974 (Just kidding, it was tin can bay in QLD)
i was just old enough to legally drink in a pub
this old (ancient, actually) scottish guy and i are trading banalities
in storms his wife, picks up my drink, throws it in my face, calls me a hooooo-ə-rrrrrr
🤣🤣🤣
phlegm at 50 paces 🙄

it was the best of times, it was the worst of times
it was the year i learned that names are meaningless
(not always harmless, but defo meaningless)

**Laoghaire pronounced Leery, some outlander fan in USA once pronounced it Leg hair - so in this household she is always leghair… the nonsense when a foreign tongue is anglicised… like phlegm, pronounced flem…
