It turns out the 1st party Nintendo camera for Switch 2 is 1080p (not sure of frame rate), while the HORI Piranha Plant camera is only 480p.

BUT the Piranha Plant can be plucked out of its pot and plugged directly into the top of the Switch 2.

TBH I don't care if it's a shittier camera. It's adorable.

Nintendo Switch 2 "Welcome Tour" will be $10 because, according to Nintendo of America's Product Marketing Manager, it is "an interesting product" and it is "not an exorbitant price"

Yeah, alone $10 is not an exorbitant price for a game, but you are also asking $450 for the console alone, plus $20-50 a year, plus $80 for new games.

So suddenly $10 for something you just paid at least $500 on IS quite petty and exorbitant for something LITERALLY called the "welcome tour".

IGN · Switch 2 Tutorial Game Welcome Tour Costs $10, Nintendo Explains Why It's Not a Free Console Pack-In - IGNBy Wesley Yin-Poole

In this IGN interview with Bill Trinen, it's confirmed the Switch 1 to Switch 2 Edition upgrade packs for Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will only cost $10 USD.

Which makes sense, since the Switch 2 Edition physical releases MSRP for $10 USD more than their Switch OG MSRP. But still, thank goodness.

Slightly disappointing, but I'm still cautiously optimistic here. I only experienced drifting on two Joy-Cons out of 8, though I replaced the sticks myself in pairs out of an abundance of caution (and still have a spare set on hand).

There are plenty of non-drifting sticks that aren't using Hall effect, and I have to wonder if the magnetic attachment of the JC2s made Hall effect sticks impractical.
