I've seen that even at my university, which has had (small, peaceful) demonstrations, Jummah prayer services dedicated to ending the violence, and candlelight vigils. even at my small university it ends on on <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/Facebook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Facebook</a> and <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/NextDoor" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#NextDoor</a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/NeighborhoodWatch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#NeighborhoodWatch</a> groups within fifteen minutes of when it starts, blown wildly out of proportion with fear-mongering and rampant <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/Islamophobia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Islamophobia</a> spread by otherwise liberal Jewish communities. from affluent areas of course. class is a factor in this. one of my professors, who is a department chair, commented that she hoped the protestors got what's coming to them; I'm still waiting to receive that screenshot from a trusted source. and then the Zionists show up and stage not a small and contained counterprotest but an act of <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/DomesticTerrorism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#DomesticTerrorism</a> instead. instead of doing what they're supposed to do, they get out their cell phones, spread it, and start checking the event happening, creeping inward like vultures. the younger ones yell taunts and jeers and "Go home!" "Terrorists!"
