@gemelliz Ive _tried_ to have this conversation with e.g. my parents, but please do NOT get sucked into polls. Do not assume an outcome. THIS is the election to vote strategically.

In places like Alberta especially, if we keep splitting the "not blue" vote 2 or 3 ways, nothing will change.

If you're an #NDP (or #green) voter in #Alberta I desperately encourage you to avoid vote-splitting. Vote for whomever has any chance at all of defeating that "blue" candidate....please!

I had to look a little more into the Quebec specific polls to see if there were any trends there, so I recreated the same graph with Quebec polls.

It is hard to make out from the very noisy Bloc and CPC numbers but the Bloc did go below 20%. These are Liaison provincial polls which appear to be consistently the lowest for the Bloc.

There doesn't really seem to be any discernible trend for the Bloc or CPC. Both are fluctuating wildly between pollsters. But the Liberal and the NDP numbers are showing a decline and slight upward trend respectively.

I'll post these Quebec numbers with the national numbers tomorrow and going forward just to keep an eye on it.

Is someting happening in Quebec?!

The Bloc have broken below the 5% (national poll) barrier twice in the latest two days of polling, which is for April 4th and 5th.

Mainstreet polls, 4% on the 4th, then 3% on the 5th.
There are also Liaison “B" grade (not included on graph) polling that pegged them at 4% in their four most recent pollings since April 2nd.

LPC/CPC still within usual bounds. NDP steady.

Friends in Carleton riding, your #NDP candidate, Beth #Prokaska ( bethprokaska.ndp.ca/ ) has approximately 5% of the support in the polls. She has zero chance of winning this seat.

If Ms Prokaska , an accomplished and respected community leader, withdrew from the race and put her support behind Bruce #Fanjoy, the Liberal candidate for the riding, the residents of #Carleton could almost certainly remove Pierre Poilievre from that seat.

Ms Prokaska could be a hero.

Looking at the latest polls on this the eve of the 3rd week… everyone is still in their band that they've been in since March 24.

But I do notice the Bloc has hit a new low of 4%.🤔

A sign of a subtle shift in seat-rich Quebec?

Note, the graph below only shows the “A rated" national polls as listed at 338canada.com.

LPC: continuing in their band, but on a short downward.
CPC: continuing in their band, but on a short upward.
NDP: fairly stable around 8%
GPC/PPC: wallowing under 5%

Last night, we came together to celebrate local business at the Tri-Cities Chamber Awards. With the trade war impacting our communities, supporting local has never been more important.

While Liberals and Conservatives hand out billions to giant corporations and billionaires, they continue to punch down on small businesses. We will fix it. #buylocal #supportlocal #canada #teamcanada #trade #tradewar #liberals #fail #conservatives #cut #reelect #bonita #portmoody #coquitlam #ndp

@mxhdroom @miki_lou @Chigaze

It is a demon that has been well-fed, and plenty of doillars yet flow to keep it that way.

#NDP were on their way to taking the money out of AB politics, which is the first step. Otoh on that file alone so far the #UCP have taken two steps back, at least.

Alberta leaving is the end of Canada for the rest of Canadians too, which Danni knows full well.

So, it's not something to be tried like sampling a new greener-grass cola, separation is more likely permanent.

@chris

It seems likely he will be removed if this election plays out as the current conservative pollsters are pushing: they are clearly pushing the narrative of "if not #CPC, then #LPC at any cost!"

Which I find extremely telling. Do we really want to elect Angus Reid's second choice after #PP?

Reality is: most #BC and #AB ridings are more likely to elect #NDP or CPC than LPC. This may be true in #SK & #MB, and elsewhere. We need clean data from the sources, not Fournier's weighted model.

Every once in awhile, I wonder if Nathan Cullen had won the leadership of the NDP in 2012 in place of Tom Mulcair, if we would have had our first Federal NDP government.

Nathan was one of the most progressive voices in Parliament.

Instead, we have Mulcair chopping at the knees of "his" former party.

I like Jagmeet Singh a lot, but it seems he's at the end of his rope and a big part is because of insiders like Mulcair never supporting him.

Tom Mulcair is the worst thing to ever happen to the NDP.
What a horrendous mistake he was.

Reminder: this is what Mulcair said after his party decided to have a leadership race to replace him.

"Mulcair stressed the importance that New Democrats remain "united" going forward, and said his replacement should have the "absolute and complete support of 100 per cent" of the party."

Hypocrite.
