Chad McCulloughI'm going to start making a very strong effort to NOT use any products that include AI, and supporting ONLY companies that refuse to use it. First example: I was on the fence about whether to use Firefox or Vivaldi as my main web browser moving forward. Mozilla made the decision really easy for me. And before all of the, "But Vivaldi isn't 100% Open Source," comments...Yes, I'm very much aware of this, but at this point, I no longer care. I hate AI THAT MUCH, and extremely sick of companies pumping it into everything just to stay up with the cool kids. Oh, and those companies are helping burn the planet. I can now zoom way in on my gigantic family tree PDF and actually read the text because it's scaled and re-rendered as I zoom in and out instead of being rendered once and then turning into a blurry mess as I zoom in.The CoverYourTracks test on the EFF website shows "Chrome PDF Viewer", and my family tree PDF works correctly in Firefox 140.The screenshot here is zoomed 460%.

Creating a new browser *and* a new not-for-profit for it. I'll be intrigued to see how they plan to structure the org to avoid Mozilla's fate.Also why they decided to start from scratch, instead of forking at least some components of a working libre browser.
