Tod Kurt (todbot)<p>Thinking of releasing a new MIDI controller, but “pad trigger” style rather than “music keyboard”. What do people think? Yes? <br>Could make a good macropad too. It has reverse-mounted neopixels that shine through the PCB to light up next to the pads. Looks pretty cool I think! The sounds you hear are an off-screen laptop running Ableton, this is just a USB device, it doesn't make sound. Tod Kurt (todbot)<p>Got a cheapie MIDI controller that’s actually pretty great: battery-powered, TRS MIDI out, basic arpeggiator, Bluetooth (!), and USB-C. Tod Kurt (todbot)<p>I made a case for my “picotouch_grid”. It’s got little standoffs on the back screws to give it an incline! Slowly it’s coming together<br><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/MIDIController" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MIDIController</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/CircuitPython" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CircuitPython</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/RaspberryPiPico" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RaspberryPiPico</span></a></p>
FozzTexx<p>All the buttons, switches, and LEDs are connected now. The 3 mode buttons don’t do anything yet except toggle the LED, same as power button. I made the volume switch control the note velocity. And the whammy bar drops the keyboard an octave. <a href="https://mastodon.fozztexx.com/tags/maker" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>maker</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.fozztexx.com/tags/electronics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>electronics</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.fozztexx.com/tags/MIDIController" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MIDIController</span></a></p>
Tod Kurt (todbot)<p>Okay!
