The backgrounding sections are a true treat.</p><p>For a <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/SalishSea" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SalishSea</span></a> fleet I work with we've inserted geofencing to avoid interfering with <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/orca" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>orca</span></a> pods. <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/GPS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GPS</span></a> data collected from <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/NMEA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NMEA</span></a> bus fed into a flea-sized <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/MCU" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MCU</span></a> running with a small database and a simple alorithm driving audio/visual alert suffices for vessels without native <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/MFD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MFD</span></a> capacity for this.
