So, now I’m getting treated differently just because I picked #GrapheneOS? In a so-called “free” world, I can’t even choose my own software without people lining up to judge me? That’s pathetic.
If my preferences make you so mad, that’s your problem, not mine. I refuse to let anyone shame me or push me around over my device choices.
Find something better to do than policing what other people use. I’m done listening to this hypocrisy.

It is very funny when you get blocked for sharing a "Comparison of Android-based Operating Systems" that I didn't make, and if you think anything is factually incorrect with the comparison chart, you can contribute to it.
I have a LineageOS phone without Google Play Services. My Facebook account is deactivated. But recently, on my phone, I did get the WhatsApp app via an anonymous connection on the Aurora Store, due to my former workplace requiring this (and also some friends use it).
It does seem to be running in the background, given that there are notifications from it. The app itself is unopened. So, I've just changed it to not allow notifications.
I'll try turning my phone off again and then back on to see if the app will be running upon reboot.
Okay, I turned it off, and left it off for about 15 minutes. Upon rebooting, the phone indicated that three apps were running (but not WhatsApp), and it said that WhatsApp was last running 17 minutes ago. So, it it currently does not seem to be running on its own.

Mon Oneplus 6 (de 2020) commence à montrer quelques signes de faiblesses. Je vais essayer de le pousser autant que possible mais si d'aventure il me lâche entre les pattes, je me prendrais bien un #Fairphone5 (que je préfère au 6).

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, ormai inutilizzabile persino dopo reset: con LineageOS 22.2 (Android 15) ora è reattivo, fluido e totalmente degooglizzato!
F-Droid e Aurora Store come store principali;
poi:
Nextcloud, Organic Maps, Proton Mail & Thunderbird, Aegis, Firefox, PixelFed, Mastodon, Element, KDE Connect, Signal, VLC, NewPipe... e molte altre!
Grazie al software open source e leggero, il telefono è tornato veloce, stabile, sicuro.

Analiza obejmuje m. in. opis i zawartość systemu (aplikacje), konfigurację, funkcjonowanie, łączność, kwestie prywatności i bezpieczeństwa, omówienie procesu instalacji a nawet informacje o deweloperach i ich misji. Artykuł niestety w języku niemieckim, jednak automatyczne tłumaczenie na angielski przez Firefoxa jest całkiem akceptowalne.

I guess my concern today is what happens when custom roms stop supporting the #pixel3a ?
It's an aging phone. People have put in a lot of work into roms for it (#LineageOS, #CalyxOS, #AXPOS), but from what I gather building Android ROMs is a huge mess, and needs lots of computing resources.
I'd like to think it will be possible to keep using it for years to come with #MainlineLinux, #postmarketOS or some similar project
The Pixel 6a battery malarkey is coming for me after all. Got the dreaded email a few days ago and the update is due to be forced any time from tomorrow.

@LineageOS Today I installed Lineage OS on my Samsung Tab S7 and it was very simple process and now have an updated and reliable device for years to come as Samsung abandoned after 3 years. I want to thank the team for all their hard work and I am extremely thankful for the whole open source community.
