I've just made the github repository of Overvoltage public and licensed it under GPL-3.0.
Overvoltage is a software #sampler #plugin using #juce so that it can be compiled into the #vst3 or #lv2 plugin format. I've tested it --albeit not used it productively-- in #cubase and #ardour. So please consider this plugin highly experimental and incomplete. I'm creating it mainly for educational purposes.

Over the past month I've written this little #TUI #sequencer #groovebox #DAW thingy in #Rustlang
And here it is, playing a little #ditty that I composed on my #acoustic #guitar nearly 15 years ago, and has been bouncing around my head ever since.
Playback uses the #LV2 plugin #Odin2, which has largely replaced #Helm and #TAL-NoiseMaker as my favorite free softsynth.
It does play other sounds than square waves, I just haven't exposed all the #plugin parameters yet.
The display of my #ThinkPad #T470s isn't feeling well, and drawing a huge grid of cross-hatched #Unicode Block Elements is probably actively contributing to its demise.
But I just had to try.

That's right, I made it fit in 80x25, classic #DOS size.
Had terrific fun tweaking knobs over a simple 16-step #synth loop, and recording into #OBS with #PipeWire.
Now who's gonna hook me up with a #PeerTube account to upload these as they get more elaborate :D
