Dendrobatus Azureus<p>In 2005, Google paid $50 million to a software engineer called Andy Rubin, together with his team for a dying phone company giving away their FREE software.</p><p>Critics called it the "dumbest acquisition ever."<br>Today, that "dumb decision" is worth over $500 BILLION and is the reason why you are holding a less expensive but quality phone that is not an iPhone </p><p>Here's how Google saw the future before anyone else: and built the world's most used mobile device - Android phones </p><p>It all started with a tiny company called Android Inc.</p><p>Founded by 4 top tech entrepreneurs and business executives, Led by Andy Rubin. </p><p>Their goal?<br>To create smarter mobile devices <br>that are more aware of their owner's location and preferences, and an operating system that is completely free &amp; open-source.</p><p>Any manufacturer could use, modify, or make it their own. Why the fuck is my TV asking me to agree new terms. It is my TV, and 4 years old.

So I have to get a 6 year old grandchild to click “agree”.

Good luck LG enforcing a contract against a 6 year old, who is not legally old enough to enter in to any such contract.

Even if you could enforce such a contract against her (LOL), you have no contract with me, or any other user or viewer of the TV.

So why the fuck do you bother? #LG

Continued thread

Woot! replacement screen came in. Tech said he'd never seen a C1 screen fail before (he has the same model) but it's a manufacturing fault so it's free.

He ripped the old one off and put the new one on together with me, set it up and we're away! Took about 20 mins. Faith restored #LG

If you're thinking about buying an #LG #TV at the moment (specifically the G Series) - don't.

We're having constant issues with short sound blips (half second, intermittent, no rhyme, reason or replicability) when watching anything connected by HDMI.

Having replaced all HDMI leads, DVD player (and indeed bought a new playstation), the issue continues.

Having spoken to their service representatives, this is a known issues with the G Series and they are 'waiting for an engineers report'.

Searching online reveals that it's not just us - this has been going on for quite some time. No ETA on a fix at the moment either.

It's a real pisser as it only happens on connected devices (ie not TV/streaming) - the sound quality and picture quality otherwise are just brilliant.

Anyway, social media grumble over. Hope it's helpful for someone.
