I really wish I could make one page of my #HomeAssistant public. I put together a great dash with my gaming stats, what I'm currently playing, and just for fun - a few of my favorite franchises trigger additional art to appear. I would love to have all that on a publicly available page I could put a link to on my profile.

On a lark I bought a couple smart outlets so I can track power use of some kitchen appliances, but simply cannot get to work with #HomeAssistant. They use Thread, which should be fine via my Apple TV, but nope. I even bought a second SkyConnect dongle and still nothing. I was able to add them to Apple Home, so they work, but not what I want. These are the only Thread devices I have, so I’m happy to reset things, but I don’t see any obvious options for removing the existing network to start over

My updated #HomeAssistant automation worked. Now I know even though the dishwasher stopped, it was almost done.

It's very annoying how often it stops sometimes. This is the third time today, but now we're not home to resume it and it will have shut down on its own by the time we get to it.

Just setup the Hydrific Droplet. This clamps onto the main water pipe and generates real time reports of the water usage in the home. They recently added local integration with #HomeAssistant through MQTT.
I will be getting into more details on next weeks episode of the Homeatech.fm podcast.

@Benhm3 Z-Wave is also an Open standard and with the new ZWA-2 there is a new open source peace of hardware made for #HomeAssistant. So, do you really need to change anything at your configuration?
I think it is a good idea to use Matter over Thread and Z-Wave too, like placing your bets on two horses.

Welp. #Kubernetes fucked me in yet another unexplainable way and I don't have time or inclination to figure it out.

Current priorities:

1. Get #HomeAssistant and friends up, probably as a VM. Thankfully I have backups.

2. Get #Jellyfin up. This involves restoring a Jellyfin Longhorn backup, syncing it somewhere temporary, and then installing Jellyfin somewhere with access to a GPU.

That's probably all I'll have spoons for tonight. Ugh. What a mess.

We’re now a three #Zigbee network family 😀

Let’s see if the #Tradfri bulbs work better with a Tradfri hub than the #Hue one. One would hope so…

I’ve got the hub configured, with one bulb on it. Integration with Alexa and #homeAssistant was quick and easy…need to set some time aside to move more over and reconfigure everything.

After a 6 month wait my kickstarter Unfolded Circle remote 3 turned up. It reminds me of the Logitech Harmony elite but no cloud or annoying re-syncs all the time. Native network, Bluetooth and IR for common devices and a two way #HomeAssistant integration for everything else. Pricey but I’ve been looking for a replacement for Harmony for ages.
