MarcusMuench<p>My colleagues and I performed a study looking for molecules on the surface of <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/liver" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>liver</span></a> cells during <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/prenatal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>prenatal</span></a> development. Before birth, the liver contains heptoblasts, immature progenitors that can make hepatocytes and cholangiocyte (biliary cells). We found that these cells express a molecule know as CD203c. We also showed that a some <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/cancer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cancer</span></a> cells found in <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/pediatric" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pediatric</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/hepatoblastoma" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hepatoblastoma</span></a> also express CD203c. </p><p><a href="https://sfba.social/tags/CancerResearch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CancerResearch</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/ScienceSavesLives" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ScienceSavesLives</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/medicine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>medicine</span></a></p>
