@kddk @dennishorn Ich glaube, bei Kommunikation geht es auch um #Gefühle (im hier vorgestellten Fall vielleicht: #Enttäuschung #Unsicherheit) und #Macht bzw #Ohnmacht. Ich finde, das zu #reflektieren haben einige der DiskutantÏnnen stellenweise wirklich sehr gut hinbekommen. Das sind dann auch die Stellen, die sich für mich sehr konstruktiv gelesen haben.
Es wäre m.E. sehr spannend, den hier vorgestellten Thread mal mit Grounded Theory oder Objektiver Hermeneutik anzuschauen.

In this paper, we observe and build a theory of organizations such as #Elm Community, #VoxPupuli, etc. that inspired me to create the Coq-community organization for the #Coq ecosystem.

Das finde ich eigentlich gut, wenn es im Studium erstmal einen breiteren Überblick gibt . Für Spezialisierung ist dann mit der Masterarbeit oder im Anschluss auch noch genug Gelegenheit. Und dann ist auch interdisziplinärer Austausch besser möglich, wenn nicht alle schon so früh auf eine Richtung festgefahren sind.
Zu den Drittmitteln: Ja, verallgemeinerbar ist es sicher nicht, aber ich denke schon, dass es für qualitative Projekte zum Teil schwieriger ist Projektmittel genehmigt zu bekommen. Gerade zum Beispiel mit dem Ansatz #GroundedTheory : Die "Geldgeber" / Projektträger möchten normalerweise im Voraus einen Plan sehen, wie viele Interviews genau geführt werden sollen, mit wem und wieviel Budget für welche Kostenstelle dann für diese Projektphase einplant wird. Das widerspricht aber meines Wissens der Logik der Methode, nach der diese Fragen sich erst im Forschungsprozess selbst entscheiden sollten.
I have a #GroundedTheory question, because i am not sure i will find the answer in literature.
The bones of the methodolgy seems to me to be the coding process, with it's different processes to follow along the research question and generate new data.
If a researcher would now not use that coding technique which is proposed by Strauss/Glaser would that study still be based on GT?

For all that #dataScience seems like a specialized corner of academia, I end up teaching on a wide swath from #qualitative coding and #groundedTheory to high-performance computing. Yesterday it was #dataHygiene in #Excel - today the pendulum swings and I'm teaching #webscraping with #Python. At least it keeps my #adhd from turning into boredom though.
