My #GOP, #FoxNews-watching, #COVID-addled parents aren’t doing well.

My dad has had COVID twice and my mom three times (that we know of).

My dad has a #GBM #Glioblastoma and doesn’t have much time left.

My mom, who got over COVID two weeks ago, fell from a ladder at work yesterday hanging decorations and broke 3 ribs and has a compression fracture of T12.

Post-COVID falls and dizziness are a thing and no one can convince me that this didn’t factor into falling.

Stay safe out there.

Shortly after this, I got a text from a friend asking if I’d be willing to reach out to someone whose mom, who might be in her 50s, also has a #GBM.

I realize this could be Baader-Meinhof syndrome but I don’t like the rate at which I’m hearing of folks near me having brain cancer.

I really enjoy Great British Menu #GBM, but if there’s a programme more in love with adjectives, I don’t know what it is. Why does a chef have to be described as ambitious or hard-working or dynamic or whatever EVERY BLOODY TIME. Sometimes it’s okay to just be a chef. Stop it, Andi!

knowing my art block with visual art it wouldn't be wise to participate in #inktober the normal way. so i'll do something different.

i'll be following the prompt list, but instead of drawing, i'll be creating an element for a ttrpg. this can be a location, a being, some kind of magical phenomenon, etc.

(like a mini dungeon23)

anyways, i'm running a few different games rn and can make stuff for them with that 💚

gonna call it #thinktober 🤔

I am very happy that we were able to recently secure funding for some pragmatic . However I found out that there is a hard time limit attached to it: 5 years.
I mean... we are struggling to make that (largely due to the regulatory burden ALSO originating in the and another organ) in a study designed for * recurrent * patients.
Is it oversimplifying too much to say that no breast or prostate application to this call ever stood a chance in this grant call?
