Christos Argyropoulos MD, PhD<p>Discussing <a href="https://med-mastodon.com/tags/flozination" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>flozination</span></a> in cats over at the birdie app. Apparently a SGLT2 inhibitor was approved for the management of <a href="https://med-mastodon.com/tags/diabetes" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>diabetes</span></a> in our <a href="https://med-mastodon.com/tags/feline" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>feline</span></a> friends. Considering that kidney disease (with or without diabetes) and heart failure is common in cats and <a href="https://med-mastodon.com/tags/dogs" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>dogs</span></a>, this could be a game changer for veterinarians, animals and their owners alike. Do we need a RCT, or can we just translate evidence from humans?</p>
