I have someone asking me to help with a PolaRx5 #GNSS that can only send observations (via satellite) using FTP (!). No one here at #UVic wants to set up an #FTP server. I don't want to. It would be attacked relentlessly.
Apparently the device can be polled from here over ssh: it's not going to have static IP. The user is going to use #Starlink (not my choice). Does dynamic DNS work with that service?
Battery power at the site limits options quite a bit as well.
Suggestions? Ideas?

Hey Linux friends. Is there a better graphical FTP program than Filezilla?
I'm finding Filezilla to be increasingly buggy, and I need something I can use with drag & drop & synchronised browsing.
What's a good replacement that you've *personally* used?

While this article and research is about frontotemporal, and a test for early detection, on this type of dementia so much of the experience carries across other neurological conditions. From what I’ve read, the #FTP is even more difficult. Actually, many caregivers of a dependent adult with severe and late stage conditions face similar challenges. I’m still so glad I read that book for caregivers, by Kiper, Travellers to Unimaginable Lands: Dementia, Carers and the Hidden Workings of the Mind.

We were told 'of course we shouldn't defund the police', because there are mostly 'good cops' there.
Yet now #Trump (and Republicans) is getting them to round up, interrogate and deport to anywhere, anyone that doesn't 'look American', or is 'anti-American'/anti-Trump, I'm not seeing any trickle, let alone mass resignations from these 'good cops'.
Highly recommend setting aside ninety minutes and watching @Ayman's new video essay, an entertaining and deeply researched polemic on the hypocrisies of Arab nationalist ideology from a leftist internationalist and anti-authoritarian perspective.
