Busy morning, and now nursing sore muscles. Picked up several hundred pounds of feed for the fowl, then went to a neighbor's house and shoveled up 2 yards of maple tree mulch that I ground up after last years hurricanes. I'll be using the mulch in the gardens. #farming

After reading about bee death in southern Sweden and in the US, this article about Romania haystacks felt extra important. I can imagine it is all bleepin' hard work, but I think we need a bit more - or a lot more - entymology love in the world.

Another farmer-initiated heath fire gets hopelessly and inevitably out of control in winds gusting up to 40mph near Porthmadog today. Multiple fire units now having to try and stop it in incredibly challenging conditions.

It's National Tater Day (it's on the internet so...) and a good day to focus on one sector or our agricultural industry. Potato seed growers are already feeling the impact of Trump tariffs as potato farmers start canceling or cutting back on orders. If McCains exports less frozen French fries to the U.S. market due to tariffs, then every company, large or small, involved in the supply chain is impacted.
