We as #AlpSoil_Lab from #EuracResearch set up our highest pitfall traps yet at high #alpine sites at 3300m and 3100m.
These #GLORIA sites are quite steep and challenging to reach, but I can't wait to see the #soilfauna living up there

We climbed up the Büelenhorn (2512m) and Büelenberg, a quite lonely mountain ridge above Davos.

Checked some #SoilTemp loggers for fresh #alpine soil temperature data from our (dry) grassland spots.
Deglaciation and erosion during the Holocene period left distinct landforms across the European Alps, such as debris ridges deposited at the snout of a glacier. Research shows that erosion has decreased in recent years.
