I've got a Denon Home 150 speaker; to connect it to my EndeavourOS laptop (Arch, BTW; with KDE as my desktop):

* pair it 👍 ; connects, then immediately disconnects, the KDE config panel for BT said "br-connection-key-missing"
* use `bluetoothctl` to disable link security 😨
* oh, hey, it connects now and works fine!
* in the config panel, notice the device is not Trusted; set it to Trusted
* use `bluetoothctl` to enable link security
* everybody now happy 👍

I've installed `snapd` on my EndeavourOS system (it's Arch, BTW) just to use Lunatask - lunatask.app/ (the AppImage is a bit funky still, snap is the "native" Linux version).

I can't remember what annoyed me about snaps when I ran Kubuntu; maybe they've fixed it by now? Still makes a mess in your mount table but what can ya do.

native package > Flatpak > AppImage > Snap > install from source, at least on my system

It's not even that the devices are asleep, they show up in `avahi-discover` and I can list the info about their advertised abilities. They're just not showing up in the sound UI anymore.

My work laptop (a Mac) is still showing up, even though that's asleep too. 🤷

I've got a couple of HEOS-supporting devices from Denon, which also support AirPlay. I wanted to be able to play audio from my laptop (EndeavourOS; aka Arch, BTW).

*Finding* the info was harder than setting it up: wiki.archlinux.org/title/PipeW

As soon as I followed that, my HEOS devices showed up as audio devices in the sound settings. Looks like they vanish when the devices go to sleep though, so I have to figure that out.

@itsfoss #kdeplasma #wayland on #endeavouros, coming from #budgiedesktop. Bugs are _really_ minor. Signal crashes sometimes when opening the screencast portal and I got the top left corner of my screen unusable once after a Windows game crashing under Wine. Beside that, everything is flawless. Most of I do in Qt Creator, Floorp, Signal, Alacritty, virtmanager/boxes, FL Studio and Wine/Proton. I was an user of Wayland before but went back to X to use #budgiedesktop.

Well, last night I ran #Ollama on #endeavouros running on my #framewor16 and it worked better than expected. Very fast responses. I'm hoping to use it with #playwrightMCP to effectively fuzz my web changes in the background while I work. Just need to speed up the cycles between developing and QA at work.

Anyone with experience here, id love some advice on hooking up the mcp server. My first few attempts were met with vexing issues.
