MikeDunnAuthorToday in Labor History March 5 1968: The first Chicano student walkout in East Lost Angeles occurred on this date. The Walkouts, or Chicano Blowouts, occurred throughout 1968 in protest of unequal conditions in Los Angeles Unified School District high schools. Chicanos were often in classes of 40 students. Teachers often treated them with contempt. Drop-out rates were high. At Garfield High School, 58% of Chicano students dropped out each year. Thousands of students participated in the Blowouts. On March 4, 1968, J. Edgar Hoover sent out a memo to law enforcement, nationwide, warning them to be extra vigilant against “nationalist” movements in “minority” communities. aen :neocat_book: finally finished watching dungeons and drag queens s1 and wow, what a fucking side quest. all of the queens were mostly new to dnd, they were learning how to play the entire time, and somehow they not only crushed it, but they learned things that seasoned players learn on the fly!! in like 13-14 hours of gameplay!! obviously they were good at the roleplaying aspect, they're drag queens after all. but i'm surprised by how quickly they picked up technical parts of the game, like player knowledge vs character knowledge, tactical moves in combat, etc. bob literally started tracking ac and hp in the final fight, it was amazing and also the story was incredible, i don't know what i was expecting from the ending but it almost made my cry, it was so beautiful and emotional and for a 4 episode side-quest they really did a good fucking job i watched this because the second season just came out so i thought i might as well catch up, but i would recommend to anyone who's kinda new to dnd to watch dungeons and drag queens because it's a great way to learn how the game is played while being entertained at the same time <a class="hashtag" href="https://larkspur.one/tag/dnd" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#dnd</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://larkspur.one/tag/dimension20" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#dimension20</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://larkspur.one/tag/dropout" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#dropout</a>
