Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan hints at foundry collaboration with TSMC

> New Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan said Thursday he recently met with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. to discuss ways to collaborate

> While most American semiconductor companies have gone fabless -- meaning they only design chips and outsource production to contract chipmakers such as #TSMC -- #Intel retains the integrated device manufacturing (IDM) model, meaning it both designs and manufactures #chips. archive.ph/2025.04.24-233031/h

Found the new Vlasic Pickle Balls yesterday at Sam's Club. They definitely have a good pickle flavor, though I wish they had a bit more pickle flavor. Definitely worth trying if you like pickle stuff.

There is also a spicy version of these, but we haven't found them yet, and those might not even be available as of yet.

I need a momentary button switch (a reset button) that can solder into one of these through-hole pairs, more often used for jumper pins. I can't find any with simply through pins - such buttons always have the rounded fin connectors with an in-bored hole.

Anyone know where I can find such a button? Thanks.

A good read, which may explain why the US is so interested in Taiwan. They’re a decade ahead in chip manufacturing and have an incredibly skilled highly trained workforce.
Ah, I hear you say… Trump wants industry back in the USA, so why don’t the chip companies invest and build their factories in America?
Maybe they would… but a certain crazy right-wing American president has capped immigration so only a limited number of employees can come in.

BBC NewsTariffs fallout: The US will struggle to take on Asia over chipsAmerica is trying to create a chip industry through isolation and protectionism, when what allowed it to emerge in Asia is the opposite: collaboration.

Felix Salmon on MSNBC Live -

Trump's "announcement" that Invidia is now planning to make some of it's chips in the US is not an announcement - Invidia has been planning to do so for months already. But it's a very difficult thing to do and no one knows when or even if it will happen. Right now #Invidia gets it's chips from #Taiwan.*

Me:
Once again, Trump is spreading disinfo, trying to take false credit.

The same place #China gets it's #chips from, BTW.

Splann !
