Ian Stuart<p>While I will be voting for Kamala, I am skeptical of expanding the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/childTaxCredit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>childTaxCredit</span></a> again (especially to such a high amount and to such a wide range of people).</p><p>If we don’t start properly enforcing <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/antitrust" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>antitrust</span></a> laws, what is to stop this extra pool of money from being inflationary?</p><p>To address poverty, it would be better to focus on labor rights and raising the minimum wage (while using <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/antitrustLaws" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>antitrustLaws</span></a> to keep prices in check). JdeBP<p>It was a *different* amendment by the <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/LiberalDemocrats" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LiberalDemocrats</span></a> that erroneously talked about "scrapping the two-child benefit cap" amongst a whole raft of other things.</p><p>But the 7 LCP rebels did not vote for that one.
