Undiscovered Scotland<p>The surprisingly extensive ruins of St Blane's Church near the southern end of the Isle of Bute. The church fell into disuse after the Reformation and most of the remains of the nave and the chancel you see today date back to the 1100s. Bob Downie<p>Hi <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/beekeepers" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>beekeepers</span></a> especially any in <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Scotland" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Scotland</span></a>. I came across a hive of wild bees in the Isle of <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Bute" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Bute</span></a>. These were very dark, almost black. I have a vague memory that black bees are the native strain &amp; quite rare. Is this right?
