Longing / La Brama for #windowfriday

"Awh, a dog looking out the window at the evening sky." No, it's the butt crack of dawn and this little cute but fuzzy demon is having a showdown with his arch nemesis - the neighbour's cat that's in the downstairs garden. He had to wake us all up by barking at this cat which is 3 stories below and in the opposite apartment block's garden.
If the cat is further than two meters away from him he will bark and grumble and be a "big man". If the cat comes closer than that he gets scared and runs away. For a "hunting dog" he is a big wuss. 😂 His name is Donut,. because he's a bit of a Donut. 😂

We've previously spoken about the longest arched walkway being in Bologna. This is one of the arches on that stretch and if you see those trees lining the street, (Via Guidotti), they are the Horse Chestnuts from the other day too! You can go through it, so, I count it as a kind of #doorsday ? 😂

I realize I didn't do a great job of showing the lights going on and off in the last post because it's quite difficult to scroll through the pictures quickly. So, I've learned a new skill and made a bad GIF! I promise to now retire (Do)Orlock, for a bit. 😂 (The rest of this post is the same as the previous one!)

This door is one of the side doors from the Collegio di Spagna - part of the University of Bologna and operational since the 14th century. It is a college for Spanish Students and it is the oldest in the world open to foreign students. (More on this cool building later!)
I spent more time on this than I care to admit and how I arrived at this magnum opus/possible cry for help has been surprising - even for me. 😂 I would love your opinions on in the comments!

Via Saragozza, Bologna. On your right here begins The Portico of San Luca which is the longest portico/arched walkway in the world. It is almost 4 kilometers long (3,796 meters) and has 666 vault arches - if you follow the portico it brings you up to il Santuario Madonna di San Luca.

To Be as Busy as a Bee / L'Ape Laboriosa Lungo il Giorno Non Riposa

This little cutie is an Apis Mellifera Ligustica or Italian Honey Bee. It is a subspecies of the European Honey Bee - but this one has learned how to cook pasta al dente. The flowers are from a Laurustinus. 🌼✨
