Thinking on the #Furgonomics in a near-future #scifi setting where #furries are slowly using #BodyModification technology to give themselves animal traits. Tails would be an early and popular one, but people would quickly run into issues...

At what point do we see the first car to advertise tail-friendly seating? What does that look like? Just having the bottom of the back be open between the hinge-point?

Could be interesting to design...

Beautiful, transformative outdoor ritual Sunday morning, making progress on the throat activation piece.

We did not finish, alas, the tattoo had other plans and is calling for more than we imagined.

And yet, with each sitting, I see the transformation. We preceded this session with a ritual to call in ancestor spirits and activate diaphragm (projective), throat, and mouth space, to hone voice but also the awareness of the impact of one's words (which, as a dear friend just wrote in a message, are magick 😉✨).

Booking May, maybe one or two projects, and June. Possible travel to LA and/or San Diego if I have clients with the means to book paid sessions, so reach out to me if this is you!

Had a fantastic experience buying a couple pairs of #plugs from #BareBonesOrganics recently. Couldn't be happier with 'em, and had to share. Gorgeous craftsmanship, I'll be back. :)

They were kind enough to throw in two extra pairs! In both images, I bought the ones on the left, and received the ones on the right as a gift. My wife prefers the gifted pairs over my choices, go figure.

here's a poll as research for my "isms of #nudism / #naturism" video idea that will highlight the barriers that so many face against participating in nonsexual public nudity, like #ableism #racism #transphobia #sexism anti #tattoo or #bodyModification , economic instability/being poor, and so on. Boosts appreciated!

Please only answer if you identify as a nudist, naturist, or otherwise nonsexual public nudity supporter. Feel free to reply with custom answers as well!

Are you...

There's an amazing pair of earrings on etsy that I want, and they're only $23.

However, because they're being shipped from the USA, the shipping cost is $33.

I'm in a quandary, because I would pay $56 for these earrings (not happily, but I probably would..) if I found them here, but I also have a personal rule that I refuse to pay more for shipping an item than the item itself costs.

So, do I eat the rule this time and get the earrings? Or do I stand by the rule and do without?

Ok, so, looking over the results of my #Furry / #transhumanism #BodyModification #Poll, I see the following...

187 Users Voted.

08%, 15 respondents, said they would not get any body mods done.** Interesting number, because it implies a little under a tenth of our simulated population is going all-natural. I find it really interesting that this number is the smallest, because it would make un-modded people an effective minority subculture if this poll held true the 2120s.

26%, 49 respondents, said they would get Body Mods that were NOT furry. This would likely mean a range of things from tattoos to cosmetic changes to cybernetics to entirely new parts. It's notable for my writing purposes, because it means I should include more humans with visible mods, and do more fact finding on what those mods would be.

A total of %34, or 64 respondents, would not get furry mods. That means only a third of the simulated population is completely un-furry. Very interesting...

#FediPoll time!

Settle my argument that the subculture described in the #Scifi setting of #Modders is not unreasonable...

Imagine you lived in a future where #BodyModification technology was at the point that you could quickly and cheaply get pretty much a full rework of your body, and one of these was a potentially reversible procedure to make you an IRL #Furry by giving you #anthropomorphic #animals features, such as fur, tail, muzzle, etc. Imagine this is mature technology, and normalized enough, that there will be no medical or societal ramifications if you get such modifications.

Do you get the #BodyMods to make you a Furry?

(Please #boost this #poll and respond in the comments: I want to hear what kind of Body Mods you would get, and may use that in my #Writing!)

This is the #Modders #microfiction going through my head this morning, and it addresses something I keep thinking of, so I figured I'd write it down. For those who somehow haven't seen these, this is a hard #Scifi setting, set in 2120s North America, where humans use surgical machines and chemicals for extreme #BodyModification, which includes #furries turning themselves into #anthro animals...

A pair of adult opossums sat on one of the benches on their wide second-story balcony, overlooking the little backyard gardens nestled between the group of old townhomes, the style giving away that they'd been built way back in the 2040s, when the city was less dense, before either of them were born really.

The ocean breeze was making it this far inland this morning, rustling cooly through their bare fur as they sat in the warm rays of the rising midday sun, which had made its way over was shining down on the rooftops.

Victorian-era #nipple #piercing? Yes! In a Parisian #salon, naturally.

I just remembered the time I tracked down a long exchange of detailed letters in an ancient volume of the #Victorian periodical English Mechanic and the World of Science, all about Constance and her little sister Millie who went to the 1889 #Paris Exhibition and came home with #pierced #nipples. It's big fun!

A few weeks ago I was blessed to have more ink done, at the wonderful Sage Studio tattoo shop in Bathurst.

I'd previously had a few piercings done there, and the last time I was in I saw a piece of flash that I fell in love with - a cute little PS5 controller with flowers around it. I thought about it for a few weeks, and ended up making an appointment to go get her done!

The appointment ended up having to be pushed back, because the artist got sick. The shop communicated super clearly with me about what had happened and were a dream to reschedule with. I appreciate having the appointment cancelled, because having an chronic illness means that getting sick is a big deal for me and can end up with needing to go to hospital. Knowing that I can trust people to take that risk seriously and let me know if they're sick makes me feel so safe about getting work done with them.

Once tattoo day arrived and I met my artist (Moss), we chatted about size and placement, tried the stencil on, and got to work.. The experience was fantastic, Moss is such a talented artist and a dream to sit for. She's friendly and relaxed, the shop itself is an immaculate vibe to spend time in. And no sooner had we finished than I was booking my next appointment (a recolour of my Kill Your Local Rapist piece) and talking about what I want done after that one.

I went back the next week for my recolour, and sat with Moss again.. and again, an amazing experience.

This piece was harder for me, and I didn't sit as well. I think it was a mix of it being an emotional piece, as well as it being my inner arm and I was having a bad fibromyalgia day so I was full of body aches. Moss was really lovely reminding me if I needed to switch it to be finished another day that it was totally OK to do that. She also noticed a few times that I needed a break before I did, and was super attentive to my state of being on the day.

I appreciate the experiences I've had at Sage Studios so much, and am grateful to live in a town with access to body mods by people who are passionate and talented as fuck with what they do.

I don't like to talk about politics on this account. There comes a point where we must. 4 days before the most important election in #US history is one of them. I would've liked to have posted this sooner, but I really didn't want to cut into my already disrupted October plans.

I have to post this now.

I think it's obvious at this point that I support Kamala Harris and the Democrats in this election, and I think it's obvious why, as a #queer and #disabled #transgender #furry, I would support the party that has given people like me more protections over the one that has openly tried to go after them.

I need not remind people of the years we've spent fighting against Republicans on #GayMarriage, #TransRights, #Disability protections like the #ADA, Pro-Choice issues even beyond abortion and #BodyModification into #BodilyAutonomy in general, and claims that #furries are trying to "put litterboxes in school #bathrooms."

This thread is not about any of those things.

READ ON.
