Carolyn<p>I learned why often gulls swim near herons when the tide is high enough to let them by watching this pair. When the heron caught a fish, the gull was hoping it would drop it and it was ready to make a dash and run. :)</p><p>Often herons will have to toss a fish into the air to get it into their beaks at the right angle to swallow.
