It takes an Eagle
The Crested Eagle regards the home decorating project she just finished... for some reason, it was very important to move some branches in this huge possibly multi-ton nest from one spot to another...

While I usually lean towards clean and minimal, there is something about this mess of vines that I really find attractive. After removing some small stray branches I really like the way this turned out. It's organized chaos. What do you think?
Marsh Warbler (Acrocephalus palustris, Sumpfrohrsänger,
łozówka).
My home made nesting box on the back of the allotment shed is currently home to some bluetits. Yesterday morning one of the adults was flying in and out every 2 or 3 minutes with a caterpillar in its beak.
7 or 8 eggs is typical but they can have up to 14!
In the UK just 38% of juveniles survive their first year.
A plan for making a nest box like this and advice about entrance hole size came from the RSPB website.

Thanks for those that hung around.
Ma copine la tourterelle, qui vient presque tous les jours roucouler sur mon balcon. Photo prise à travers la vitre ET la moustiquaire, parce que pourquoi faire simple quand on peut faire compliqué

Okaaay. Mother Nature came close and spoke to me in her gentlest, smallest, most loving voice, and with little peeps told me I was loved. Then had a scratch. The monkey brains are quietening. Breeeathing
Still need a third coffee tho'
That's it from me for now. Love to you All. Have a good morning, dear ones
I did see a few delightful owls. Wasn't sure if anyone was home in the box until I saw a tail stick out as it moved around inside.
Been awhile since I've gone out birding so tried to get ahead of the massive wind storm and enjoyed the morning out at Stillwater NWR.
Dotty refuses to wake up from *my* seat on the sofa and join me in the garden, but I am not alone out here
