#BehavioralChange

#TechBros and #Broligarchs are #grifters and have contributed much to the #ClimateEmergency. They don’t have a solution for anything, but the more problematic issue remains #Mankind itself. We simply refuse to accept #BehavioralChange and have therefore doomed Mother Earth to its destructive course. We have always had the simplest & most effective #ClimateSolution, we just refuse to use it. Is it worse to have no climate solutions or to have them but refuse to use them? theguardian.com/commentisfree/

The Guardian · Is it worse to have no climate solutions – or to have them but refuse to use them?By Rebecca Solnit

Attention, all you dumb motherfuckers out there who thought that planting trees would #decarbonize the world while everyone continued on pursuing #BAU; It doesn't work. Old growth is saturated with #Carbon and now is releasing it. New growth takes 25+ years to be able to absorb any carbon. Meanwhile, the carbon #PPM in the atmosphere is rising exponentially. Wake up assholes and embrace #BehavioralChange before it is too late.

The Guardian · What happens to the world if forests stop absorbing carbon? Ask FinlandBy Patrick Greenfield

Congratulations to #JimMcDonald on his retirement from the #RAE. #Engineers of our era have much to look back on in terms of the profound change we brought, but are also responsible for much of the #ClimateCrisis which we face today. In reflection was all that #tech innovation worth the cost to #MotherEarth? I am doubtful.

The Guardian · Royal Academy of Engineering president Jim McDonald: this is how we power a greener futureBy Jack Simpson

The #ClimateApocalypse is the great #equalizer. All who are either powerful or weak will suffer equally. It can no longer be avoided and there is no escape. Meanwhile, large & small continue to argue/fight with each other over trivial matters. The notion of #BehavioralChange is beyond them.
