#Air #pollution still plagues nearly half of #Americans. That does a number on our #health
Report comes as Trump admin is rolling back some key air quality regulations. Air quality across country has improved dramatically since regulations like #CleanAirAct in 1970s to govern sources of pollution like #coal-fired #powerplants and #emissions from #diesel trucks. In 2023, nearly half of #US -- 156 million -- lived in places heavy in smog or soot pollution that harms health.

NBC News reports: "About 46% of U.S. residents — 156 million people — lived in areas with unhealthy air quality that earned F grades from the American Lung Association for ozone or particle pollution."

Checked out the compressor. The pressure switch wasn't the problem, but at least it's adjusted now. And the PRV tested 😤

Looks like the motor capacitor is getting lazy. Not unusual, but a bit annoying given that this thing is maybe a year old and not used heavily.

Perhaps they used the wrong element. SeaKnight instead of AirKnight :blobcatdizzy:

Paris Bike Boom Leads to Steep Drop in Air Pollution

"The French city’s air quality has improved dramatically in the past 20 years, coinciding with a growth in cycling...Between 2005 and 2024, levels of nitrogen dioxide and fine particulate matter — two of the most harmful pollutants to human health — have been slashed by 50% and 55%, respectively.”

"City leaders including Mayor Anne Hidalgo have been making a concerted effort to pedestrianize parts of the city, improve bike infrastructure, and promote active transportation in the French capital."
