About 30 minutes ago, I was feeling some palpitations and a rather sudden headache. Triggered the ECG on my smartwatch. Result was AFib, so I also triggered an update and alerted the company monitoring my implanted loop recorder. Got to feeling better, checked again, and back to normal sinus rhythm.

Sent a message to the doctor via portal including the ECG strip just in case. Fun.

Good morning from #Pasadena. ☁️ atm and cool: 18°c (64°F). Forecast calling for 🌤️ & 27°c (81°F).

Back from the dog park and trying to figure out where to start my day with way-too-long list. It doesn’t help that the heatwave set me back and that the first truly cool day (yesterday) I had a 7-hour #afib episode that forced me to spend the day resting. I was overdue for rest… and I’m feeling much better today.

Hoping everyone is well and weekend-ready! Have a good day!

Photo: #MosesTheServiceDog relaxing in moist dirt: his favorite. He loves the coolness of it.

#Introduction

I am a well educated #transgender woman, a demisexual lesbian, and an eclectic #Pagan. I am loving and giving. I am a #caretaker type who often fails miserably at self care.

I am a widow. The day that my wife died, the doctor came to me asking for my permission to stop all life-saving measures. I said “Call it” to the doctor, thereby finalizing her death.

I am a #spoonie with diagnoses of fibromyalgia, myofascial pain syndrome, moderate cervical spine stenosis, complex PTSD, epilepsy, #AFib, POTS, and at least two migraines a month on average.

For those unaware: "Spoonie" is a term, somewhat of endearment, for people with various chronic health problems. It is drawn from "The Spoon Theory" by Christine Miserandino of "But You Don't Look Sick" fame. If you deal with chronic health concerns, it can be both helpful and validating.

I am complex, complicated, and worth the effort.
