PP, however, is disingenuous by overly simplifying and narrowly defining increase of Vancouver housing taxes as sole cause of --> increase in housing costs.

There’s a difference between #housing affordability and #affordablehousing. More construction can help with the first. The second requires permanent subsidies. Every year, the state of California posts county-by-county tables on income limits for affordable housing.

In Ventura County, a family of 4 making nearly $120,000/year is now “low income.” The same family making nearly $158,000 is “moderate income.”

These are countywide figures. If anything, the numbers for #ThousandOaks are almost certainly higher.
