The Trump administration is talking about federalising the California National Guard—which makes them active-duty military—and deploying them to LA, against the direct wishes of the Californian governor. This is deliberate provocation by Trump and Miller to foment more unrest, leading to the declaration of martial law, removing the final vestiges of constitutional protection.

This, given the apparent worship of the 2nd Amendment by Americans, I can only see this ending one way.

Today, #SCOTUS denied certiorari in Snope v Brown, 5 (+1) to 3, leaving in place Maryland's AR-15 ban in place. What's the +1? That's a Kavanaugh concurrence that was actually a statement against the AR-15 ban.

May these justices, who wanted to overturn the AR-15 ban, never have to live through the terror of seeing everyone around them, including loved ones, being gunned down by an automatic-enabled AR-15. But if they do, thoughts and prayers.

The federal law banning people convicted of non-violent felonies from owning a gun is a blatant violation of the Second Amendment. To illustrate the point, imagine if people convicted of felonies were banned from exercising their 1st Amendment rights, e.g., speaking out on prison conditions.
