Why I still use precautions against :
1. People are still dying from acute infections.
2. People are still being disabled by , including .
3. We don't have effective treatments.
4. We still don't know the full extent of long term damages.
5. I don't want to spread the infection to anyone.
6. keeps mutating - the more we allow spread, the more it will mutate. We don't know what future will bring.
7. Death from infection can occur months later.

@pediatricskc Thank you for this. It’s exhausting at times to keep up the protection. Many folks close to me have given up & don’t mask, etc. I feel more isolated now than when we were in lockdown. I’m one of the few people who’ve got chronic herpes so I don’t trust any virus. If I don’t sleep enough, have a cup of coffee, eat too many peanuts those little buggers have a picnic on my ganglion nerve cells! Gratefully not ever in my eyes or brain!

@MorriganResists I'm sorry to hear about your chronic herpes. For unknown reasons, () is becoming more common, and a fair number of people will have recurrences.

We should never underestimate viruses. Many can cause long term (or later) effects.

The good news is that preventing one can help prevent most. If more people were cautious, we'd all be safer!

@pediatricskc @MorriganResists Twitter feed says it's caused by the covid vax. Getting a lot of traction. I had a mild case several years before covid - due to stress my doctor (and I) think.
