Someone asked why we don’t have our blinds open, as is the #Chanukah tradition, with menorahs in the window. This is #Ottawa today, #Canada today. As the recipient of multiple #antisemitic death threats, it isn’t safe to indicate that our home is Jewish. Let that #hate sink in.

Jews are hiding their menorahs during Chanukah because they fear violence from Christians.
Christians claim that THEY are the ones being persecuted in the "war on Christmas."

@nilikm Same deal in the States. Attended a modest community public menorah lighting that was surrounded by police protection. Guaranteed no one wished Zelenskyy a simple Happy Hannukah when he visited DC, much less put out a menorah. TV stations no longer broadcast Happy Hannukah messages like they had all my life. Sorry to hear Canada is afflicted too. Scary times.

@nilikm @Alchemist_Final your politics are not encoded on your 23andMe chart tho. You can decide to change your politics. A Jewish person can never escape this persecution. They can only go underground to protect their family from violence.
@Chimaera @nilikm Brings up a good question and/or dilemma. How would these racial "puritans" deal with the fact that many European descended whites have some degree of jewish heredity. Even nordics. Face it, in the world in which we live, because of thousands of years of conquest and trading, there are rarely found "pure" anyone. Perhaps they will just move the goal posts and go with fealty oaths.
