I came out of #retirement as a general #pediatrician 2 weeks ago on a part-time basis to help my former partners deal with the overwhelming influx of sick kids.
In my 30 years of practice I have never seen it so bad this early in the #respiratory season. Lots of #influenza, #RSV, #COVID being spread around.
@mfreeman@med-mastodon.com@Mitdoc i wish i could have done that. had the WPHP not ruined my career i'd have gone to NYC for covid, i'd have gone to ukraine for border help, i'd have gone to navaho nation to help, i'd be going wherever. i'm glad you have the opportunity to help.
